Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Technique classes

Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Technique classes are offered to enhance student’s dance techniques step by step.

The curriculum includes practical courses in ballet, jazz,  tap, contemporary dance, creation and improvisation, Korean folk dance and other various programs.

The goal of the program is to provide enrichment and expert training for students of all levels from students just getting introduced to those who are pursuing dance as a career.

 

 

The Nutcracker

“The Nutcracker” is presented every year during Soo Dance Academy’s annual Holiday Show. Auditions are held during the fall semester. Prerequisite: enrolled in the Vaganova Graded Ballet Program.

Spring Recital

Each year auditions are held for the production of a classical ballet such as Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, Giselle, and Don Quixote, or a formal concert of contemporary, classical, and modern pieces which are performed during the spring semester. Prerequisite: enrolled in the Vaganova Graded Ballet Program.

Vaganova Ballet Intensive

A two week course held every summer for advanced dancers which focuses on a concentrated study of the Vaganova method. Guest teachers are also brought in to teach classes in contemporary, modern, and jazz. A short performance is given on the final day of class.
